DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE BRIGHTON
Deep tissue massage is a therapy first used by ancient Egyptian, Greeks and the far eastern civilizations. It makes use of similar techniques as used in Swedish massage but it`s designed to relieve chronic tension patterns in the deeper tissue structures of the muscles and fascia by applying slow movements but intense pressure. These principles were developed by a Canadian physiologist named Therese Pfrimmer who began her own deep tissue massage after suffering paralysis in her legs. After applying a “digging” deep massage on the affected muscle, she reversed her paralysis after which she applied it on so many other people with satisfactory results.
Deep Massage Therapy is recommended for everyone, especially for people who experience consistent pain and stiff muscles due to heavy physical activity such as athletes, dancers and anyone who have sustained physical injury.
When the muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients from reaching the deeper tissue structures of the muscles, hence causing inflammation of the muscles and toxins build up in the muscle tissue. Deep Tissue Massage will help to loosen the stubborn fibers of a muscle tissues by loosening tight muscles and lengthening short muscles, realign muscles and fascia, release deeply held patterns, improve posture, relieve pain, remove toxins from muscles and enable proper blood and oxygen circulation in the body, clear energy pathways and aid relaxation. It is beneficial therapeutic massage therapy for different medical problems including muscle spasm, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome, sports related injuries and mobility problems.
